Launched at 100% Optical the new range from Bird Eyewear is designed exclusively to go above and beyond. Developed using a mix of bioplastics and recycled materials, Bird has managed to produce a low-carbon range with frames that have an impact of just 113 grams of CO2 which is fewer carbon emissions than using your phone for 1 hour.

True to form, each style in the collection is named after a bird and comes complete with Bird’s award-winning case and packaging. Natural colors inspired by nature are fused with bold styles to elevate this range above others as consumers seek out better products with the credentials to match.

Bird is known for being one of the leading sustainable eyewear brands, becoming the first Certified B Corp eyewear brand in the UK and remaining one of only a handful in the world able to meet the high transparency standards, verifying their supply chain, workers, and environmental impact.

Building on the success of its well-established ophthalmic ranges, Bird has curated its ‘From nature for nature’ range upon the values that we know will be successful for optical stores. Founder Ed Bird said “We are excited for this opportunity to grow our eyewear brand optically but keeping to our vision of creating a certified eco-conscious brand and business. Fashion is often said to both reflect and lead culture — we believe the industry has a once-in-history opportunity to demonstrate that creativity and respect for nature can lead to authentic sustainability”.
