Europa Debuts INVU Renew – Crafted From Recycled Plastic Bottles

IMVU-Europa-696x603.jpg

INVU Renew polarized sunwear styles are crafted from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles. Over 500 billion single use plastic bottles are produced every day and 80% of them end up in landfills. It takes 700 years for each bottle to decompose. The good news is – plastic can be recycled and transformed into high-quality eyewear.

The Renew Process:

  1. Bottles are mechanically recycled into PET flakes, preventing the start of the 750-year process of breakdown into the soil

  2. The PET is then purified & transformed into R-PET certified pellets

  3. The BPA-free R-PET is crafted into recycled eyewear

The debut North American INVU Renew collection features three styles, including a women’s, men’s, and sports wrap model. All styles feature the ultra-polarized sun lens that INVU is known for. The advanced, nine-layer, perfect-bonded INVU lens consists of an ultra-polarizer as well as layers for color enhancement, impact resistance and shock absorption, scratch resistance, and 100% UV-400 protection. The resulting lens offers exceptional clarity, similar to glass.

INVU Renew styles ship with a zip case and cleaning cloth also crafted from R-PET recycled material. POP materials include a 3-piece display made from recycled cardboard, carrying the important message of sustainability from design through dispensing.
