The first North Sails sunglasses collection – produced by Mirage for the famous American outdoor brand – consists of 21 models designed in accordance with the brand’s style and philosophy. These glasses with modern and sporty shapes, are comprised by two product lines: Performance, which is more technical, and Lifestyle , which is ideal for leisure time.

The choice of materials of the very highest quality, which are natural, eco-sustainable, and recyclable,  is shared by both lines, in harmony with the brand’s commitment to Ocean Conservation. All of the sunglasses feature the so-called Mir Purefit design with ergonomic details for a lightweight and comfortable fit. The material used in most of the models is Mir Bio 600, an ecological resin that is made from castor oil produced with completely renewable biomass energy and characterized by resistance to saltwater and sun creams.

Particular attention has also been paid to the lenses that filter out harmful high-energy visible (HEV) blue light and are engineered with Mir-Key technology. This technology is able to separate and increase the key colors ensuring the highest protection from the sun’s rays, but at the same time, a clear vision and an optimal visual comfort. The lenses are also given an internal as well as external oleophobic and hydrophobic treatment and are anti-reflective, impact-resistant, and polarized.

In the Performance line, the Discovery model contains all of North Sails’ technology: the thin and light frame is available in four different colors and is designed to mount two different types of lenses already available in the case, which are interchangeable according to the weather conditions. The same features are also in the  Passenger model in which the front frame disappears to make room for the mask lens. The temples and temple tips in non-slip rubber and the removable strap add further technical details to these glasses, which are ideal for sports.

Among the proposals in the Lifestyle segment, Sirio and Halley represent the classic three-piece frame revisited in a casual key. All the characteristics of technical eyewear are therefore found in two, more informal models, the first one is unisex with wide lenses and the second for men with rectangular lenses. The perfect choice for those who demand quality and performance even during their free time.
