U.S. Small Business Administration Shares Top Business Trends for 2021

Jan. 7, 2021 — The U.S. Small Business Administration has shared its top business trends for the new year in order to help small businesses across the country leverage top, emerging opportunities in 2021. 

The four key trends for the new year include a prioritization of e-commerce, the proliferation of alternative payment methods, the continued shift to work-from-home options, and the demand for virtual services. 

Eyecare businesses that have adapted amid Covid-19 with telemedicine options for patients may already be ahead of the curve: “According to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the pandemic has led to increased demand for certain business types, particularly those related to technology and virtual health and fitness. These include cybersecurity, at-home fitness, food delivery, gaming, home improvement, and telemedicine businesses.”
