Paloceras introduces Nouvelle Fiction Sun
Paloceras has launched Nouvelle Fiction Sun, a sunglasses collection that carries the inflated volumes of the award-winning Pebble series in subtler, rounded shapes defined by craft, colour, and light. Where the predecessor, Nouvelle Fiction optical, was refined for prescription clarity, lightweight comfort, and indoor life, Nouvelle Fiction Sun turns outward. The wearable sculptural forms remain, but tinted lenses and an expanded palette bring the frames into the sun.

Each frame is crafted from premium Mazzucchelli cellulose acetate and shaped through a specialised heat-moulding technique, a process that produces the inflated, rounded volumes no conventional acetate manufacturing could achieve, but are inseparable from the curvature and feel that defines the series. Lenses are supplied by Divel Italia with hard coating and 100% UV protection across the range. Three lens types run through the collection: standard tinted, polarising, which cuts surface glare, and photochromic, which reads the light and responds to it, shifting from clear to dark as conditions change. All frames are finished with custom gold-plated Visottica hardware, adding considered detail to the temple.

The collection’s palette ranges from frosted aquas and milky blues through warm browns and vivid greens, all the way to dusty roses and smoky grays, creating a balanced and playful palette with transparent and sandblasted finishes.

Nouvelle Fiction Sun marks the latest step in Paloceras’ expansion from niche optical object to a complete eyewear house. Since the Pebble series first appeared in boutiques and on the pages of the international press, the brand has developed a distinct design language that treats the frame not only as a functional accessory but as a sculptural object with unmistakable presence.
