Eyewear industry leaders Ben Rollins and Dan Bruton, most known for their work leading Axon Optics and SportRx, respectively, have acquired Eyenavision, the company behind the patented Chemistrie™ magnetic clip-on lens system. The move reinforces their long-standing commitment to innovation and growth in the vision care space.

With the 2008 launch of Chemistrie Clips, Eyenavision transformed outdated clip-on lenses into a premium, precision-fit magnetic system embraced by optical professionals nationwide. Chemistrie delivers a simple, customizable lens solution that lets practices offer advanced sun protection, reading magnification, migraine and light-sensitivity relief, blue-light blocking, and color-deficiency correction—all with seamless integration into any prescription frame.

“Eyenavision built a category‑defining product and an incredible reputation among eye care professionals,” said Dan Bruton, Interim CEO of Eyenavision. “Our goal is to honor that foundation while expanding Chemistrie into new markets.”

Under the new ownership, Eyenavision’s full staff—along with its hands‑on, customer‑first service model—will remain in place, ensuring continuity in technical expertise, client support, and daily operations. The company’s core values—quality, innovation, partnership, and accessible pricing—will remain unchanged.

Joe Zewe, former owner and CEO of Eyenavision commented, “The past 15 years have been a great run at Eyenavision, and I am proud of what our team has accomplished in partnership with our lab and ECP customers. I am excited about the future of the business and believe that under the leadership of Dan and Ben, the team at Eyenavision will achieve even greater success in the future.” Joe will be assisting with the ownership transition before leaving the company later this year.

“We’re especially excited to roll out several new Chemistrie products in the coming months,” said Ben Rollins, eyewear entrepreneur and Eyenavision board member. “These updates give eyecare professionals more tools to serve patients, boost revenue, and stand out in a competitive market.”

Eyenavision continues to serve eyecare practitioners and optical laboratories across North America, Asia, Europe, Australia, and South America by delivering customizable vision solutions that help providers attract new patients, increase sales, and distinguish their practices with innovative prescription eyewear options tailored to individual needs. Upcoming additional lens solutions include driving lenses, sports lenses, and other proprietary lens designs.
