ASEAN Eyewear Brand Exchange Meeting Successfully Held

On October 10, the ASEAN Eyewear Brand Exchange Meeting was held in Bangkok. The event focused on market trends, procurement needs, and brand development. It brought together more than 40 buyer representatives and exhibitor brand representatives from Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, providing exchange and matchmaking opportunities for brand companies to understand regional markets and expand overseas business.

At the opening of the event, Xu Chengsong, Chairman of Broad Exhibition and representative of the organizing committee, delivered a welcome address. He said that the focus of eyewear companies going global is now changing. It is no longer just about selling products; companies must also think about the long-term operation of brands, channels, and regional markets—products are the foundation, while they must also understand local consumer demand, channel characteristics, and ways of cooperation.
Through this exchange meeting, it brought brand companies and ASEAN market partners together, allowing market information, procurement needs, and brand strengths to be fully presented. This not only helped overseas partners learn about exhibiting brands, but also helped connect the two sides for future cooperation.

Nguyen Phu Thien, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Optical Association, then shared insights based on the characteristics of the ASEAN regional market and directions for brand expansion. He introduced the local market situation from aspects such as the market environment and development trends, providing participating brands with reference for regional market observation and judgment.
Truong Minh Thanh, Chairman of Hao Phat Group, shared based on his own market experience, including local consumer demand, product quality standards, design preferences, and cooperation methods. He also introduced what the procurement side focuses on when selecting brands and products. Through specific procurement needs and cooperation requirements, he helped participating brands gain a clearer understanding of actual procurement conditions in the ASEAN market, and provided reference for companies to subsequently adjust product directions and improve market strategies.

A brand representative from PARIM introduced the company, sharing its production capacity, product advantages, brand philosophy, and foreign trade services. In light of the company’s overseas market expansion needs, the representative also introduced the cooperation directions the brand hoped to find. Through presenting corporate strength, product features, and cooperation methods, buyers were able to gain a more comprehensive understanding of participating brands, providing more information for subsequent product screening and cooperation negotiations.
Through sharing from different perspectives, market trends, procurement needs, and corporate supply gradually formed a corresponding relationship. The exchange content also extended from macro market observations to products, quality, design, and specific cooperation methods, providing clearer entry points for subsequent exchanges between brands and buyers.
After the sharing session, the event entered a free negotiation session. Participating brands and ASEAN buyers engaged in in-depth communication around products, markets, and cooperation needs. Some companies reached preliminary intentions regarding follow-up contact and cooperation directions. Staff also assisted with on-site matchmaking and recorded cooperation intentions, paving the way for follow-up communication and cooperation.
This exchange meeting brought together information from both the market side and the brand side, extending the exchange from market judgment to specific products and cooperation directions.
