WOF Overseas Promotion Tour - South Korea

Recently, the WOF organizing committee conducted overseas promotion and exhibitor recruitment in South Korea. Focusing on the 2026 WOF Wenzhou Int’l Optics Fair (WOF | Wenzhou) and the 2026 ASEAN Int’l Optics Fair (WOF | Bangkok), the organizing committee introduced the highlights, participation policies, and market opportunities of both fairs to local industry enterprises, further strengthening the presence and appeal of both fairs in the South Korean market.

During the Seoul stop, the committee focused on on-site promotions targeting local enterprises and brands. Discussions focused on key strengths such as comprehensive industry chain coverage, access to international buyers, exhibitor benefits, and pre-registration advantages for professional visitors. Companies were invited to participate in next year’s fairs and visit the fairs for on-site meetings and negotiations.

The committee then proceeded to Daegu, where they held in-depth talks with several local eyewear manufacturers. The committee introduced the positioning of the fairs, along with procurement and brand expansion opportunities, and exchanged views on overseas market development and regional channel cooperation. Meanwhile, the organizing committee also visited the Korea Optical Industry Agency (KOIA) and the Korea Optical Industry-Cooperative (KOIC)to discuss cooperation mechanisms. The preliminary plan is to establish a South Korean group exhibition area at WOF | Bangkok 2026, aimed at helping more Korean companies achieve efficient exposure and trade matching in the ASEAN market.

The South Korea tour delivered positive outcomes in brand engagement, resource networking, and partnership building, marking a solid step forward in the global promotion of the two fairs. The organizing committee will continue to advance its worldwide outreach to buyers and exhibitors, expand international resources, foster global industry exchange, and support the industry in accessing broader international markets.
