From September 1st to 6th, 2025, following multiple rounds of prior buyer invitations, the WOF ASEAN Int’l Optics Fair (WOF | Bangkok) organizing committee shifted its focus to two distinct yet highly representative markets – Singapore and Vietnam. Through on-site visits and in-depth exchanges, the committee took the pulse of the local markets, gathering more potential buyer resources for the upcoming fair.

Strategic Outreach in Singapore

As one of Asia's most dynamic international financial and commercial hubs, Singapore boasts inherent advantages in transportation connectivity, making it a preferred gateway for many international brands entering the Southeast Asian market. During this visit, the organizing committee successfully met with a local buyer and invited him to participate in the upcoming ASEAN Int’l Optics Fair. This buyer expressed strong interest in the fair's professionalism and reach, believing it to be a highly effective platform for connecting with high-quality supply chains.

The organizing committee also visited the fair's co-organizer, Singapore Eye Valley, and conducted in-depth discussions regarding the industry conference agenda and guest invitations, ultimately reaching a consensus on a forward plan.

Strategic Outreach in Vietnam

In contrast to Singapore's "elite" market, Hanoi, Vietnam, displays vibrant growth and significant consumption potential. As the capital of Vietnam, Hanoi is not only a crucial hub for the medical and health industry but also a concentrated area for optical retail.

The organizing committee first visited the organizers of the Vietnam Medi-Pharm Expo. They explored potential future collaboration regarding resource exchange and mutual visitor invitations, and extended an invitation for their core members to visit the ASEAN Int’l Optics Fair.

The organizing committee then visited Vietnamese buyers to gain a deeper understanding of the current state of the Vietnamese eyewear industry. The overall market is primarily focused on the mid-to-low price range, with strong consumer demand for cost-effective products.

In Hanoi's commercial district, where eyewear stores are concentrated, the organizing committee distributed invitations to approximately 30 shops along the street. Most of these shops focus on retail, with a small number also engaging in wholesale. However, it is noteworthy that some shop owners showed a clear interest in international brand lenses, indicating a gradual upgrading of the market.

The WOF ASEAN Int’l Optics Fair is not only a platform for showcasing products, but also an ecosystem connecting Chinese manufacturing with the demands of ASEAN. We believe that through continuous and in-depth market invitations, more and more Southeast Asian buyers will come to the fair to explore new business opportunities and forge partnerships.

In the future, the organizing committee will continue to visit more ASEAN countries. Stay tuned for more updates!
