Successful On-Site Trade Matching at WOF 2024
The China Wenzhou International Optics Fair was successfully held from May 10th to May 12th in Wenzhou this year. Over 20,000 professional buyers visited the fair and engaged with more than 700 eyewear manufacturers across 7 exhibition halls.
To facilitate the expansion of Chinese eyewear brands globally and encourage the participation of overseas buyers, the organizing committee collaborated with the official B2B online platform "EyewearIn.com" to host an on-site trade matching event at Hall 2 during the exhibition.

Product Types: Optical frames (100%), sunglasses (80%), reading glasses (62%), children's glasses (30%), cases & cloths (38%), along with lenses, accessories, and decorations.
Material Preferences: TR and metal are in high demand; most overseas buyers do not have specific material preferences.
Quantity: All orders exceeded a thousand pieces.
Price Range: Primarily mid-range products, with a few high-end and low-end options.
Buyer Identities: 83% were wholesalers, and 17% were retailers.
Experience with Purchasing from China: Over 90% of buyers had previous experience purchasing eyewear products from China.
In response to the purchasing requirements of overseas buyers, we arranged over 300 meetings with more than 200 eyewear manufacturers during the fair.
"I really appreciated having such a good chance to communicate with suitable suppliers in a short time; it helps me save time," said an Indian eyewear buyer.
"The travel subsidy and free hotel are very important for me; I am grateful to the organizers," expressed an activity participant from Sri Lanka.
A representative from a Korean company shared, "I placed an order with the first manufacturer I spoke with. The meetings were excellent, and the organizer staff were very accommodating. I would like to continue participating in such activities next time."
The fair's success in facilitating direct connections between global buyers and Chinese manufacturers underscores its importance in promoting international cooperation and business growth in the eyewear industry. Looking ahead, the organizing committee aims to further enhance the fair's impact by incorporating more interactive sessions, industry forums, and specialized workshops to foster collaboration and innovation.
We are committed to continuing the onsite trade matching activity in the future, ensuring it remains fruitful and beneficial for all participants. We eagerly anticipate welcoming new friends to join us at the event next May!
