The upcoming start of AR glasses
Most of the international IT practitioners think that Apple will develop Apple glasses in the middle of next year, and then pass the Federal Communications Commission certification, and start selling in 2022.
If Apple glasses is come out, Korea will take in the glasses store to get the prescription for glasses, and then equip them with Apple glasses.
But the question is where the AR glasses market is.
First of all, according to the laws and regulations of Korea, "AR glasses" with degrees should be sold in the glasses stores, but AR glasses without degrees are more likely to appear in the mobile phone stores.
Secondly, international enterprises sell AR glasses through the optical stores, or sign a contract with a specific optical stores, which is the sole agent of the store. The possibility of these two modes is also very high.
In fact, a decade ago, someone predicted the appearance of AR glasses.
Google released the demo version of Google glasses in 2012, and began selling products for developers the following year. As an opportunity, Google glasses and other products are widely used in the industry.
In the process of logistics processing, DHL uses Google glasses to sort goods; AGCO, an agricultural machinery company, has equipped AR glasses for its assemblers, which not only shortens their working hours, but improves the assembly accuracy.
At present, many enterprises in Korea also actively carry out AR shopping, such as TV shopping guide, furniture, fashion, cosmetics, etc.
To set up the training of opticians and improve the sales strategy
The population of Korea is about 50 million, around 50% of the people wear glasses, and the average number of customers of glasses stores nationwide is about 2500 a year. If the average replacement period of glasses is 2 years, the average number of customers of glasses stores in a year is 1250, the average number of customers of glasses stores in a month is 104, and the average number of customers of glasses stores in a single day is no more than 3.5. But the data already includes people who hardly use glasses.
The associations, universities, lens manufacturers, chain brands and the consortium controlling them are all trying to open up the possibility of selling AR glasses in the glasses stores.
So now Korean opticians need professional training on AR glasses.
