Analysis of China Eyewear Products Import and Export in 2013

    In 2013, China eyewear products (excluding instruments and equipments) exports reached $ 4.317 billion, up 15.81% year on year. From the categories, eyewear (including sunglasses, reading glasses, etc.) exports reached $ 2.492 billion, up 19.25%, accounting for 57.74% of the total sum. In which sunglass exports reaches $ 1.349 billion, up 19.58%, accounting for 31.26% of the total sum. A frame export reached $ 0.972 billion, up 10.84%, accounting for 22.52% of the total sum. Lens exports reached $ 0.726 billion, up 11.98%, accounting for 16.82% of the total sum.

    In 2013, China eyewear products (excluding instruments and equipments) imports reached $ 0.741 billion, up 20.43% year on year. From the categories, eyewear (including sunglasses, reading glasses, etc.) imports reached $ 0.259 billion, up 30.42%, lens and rough imports reached $ 0.128 billion, up 10.21%; frame imports reached 0.13 billion US dollars, up 25.53%.

    On April 2rd, 2014, China Light Industrial Information Center released the Bulletin of China Light Industry Economic Status in February, which directed to the bottom of the ‘Green Stable Range’. From the feedback of the monitored 25 industrial of China light industries, battery industry still remained within the range of ‘super cooling’; jewelry, agricultural sideline food and wine industries were in ‘cooling interval’ optical, leather, food industrial and etc. were still neat the ‘Central Line-100’.
