WOF | Bangkok Press Conference Successfully Held in Thailand
On June 11, 2025, the press conference of the 2025 ASEAN INT'L OPTICS FAIR (WOF | Bangkok) was successfully held in Bangkok, Thailand. Representatives from industry associations, professional institutions, enterprises, and mainstream media of China and Thailand gathered together to witness the grand launch of this ASEAN regional eyewear industry cooperation platform.
Guests such as Krit Chansuwan, Prosecutor General of the Thai Ministry of Industry, Zhao Chunsen, Director of the China Affairs Department of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, Danai Tonkredmongkol, President of the Thai Optometry Association, Qi Xiaoyun, President of the Thai Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce, Zhou Guangyao, Chief Representative of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in Thailand, Xu Guoqiang, Consultant to the Chairman of Impact, Wu Jianmin, President of the Zhejiang Optical Industry Association, and representatives of the WOF | Bangkok Organizing Committee - Pan Wei, Chairman of Dena Exhibition, and Xu Chengsong, Chairman of Boguan International, attended the conference and had in-depth exchanges on the exhibition preparation, regional industrial cooperation, international resource linkage, and platform value.
Focusing on Regional Linkage and Painting a Blueprint for Industrial Integration
Krit Chansuwan, Prosecutor General of the Thai Ministry of Industry, said that WOF | Bangkok, as an international platform integrating exhibition, exchange, and cooperation, will inject new momentum into the development of optometric technology and industrial integration. Thailand is actively promoting the "New S-Curve" strategy, with vision care and medical technology being one of the key directions. The holding of the exhibition not only conforms to Thailand's vision of building an optometric manufacturing and innovation center but also effectively promotes the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises, technological innovation, and international cooperation, stimulating new vitality in the optometric industry.
Danai Tonkredmongkol, President of the Thai Optometry Association, pointed out that WOF | Bangkok is the result of the joint efforts of academia, industry, and enterprises. Currently, the demand for high-quality eyewear products and vision care services in the ASEAN market is growing rapidly, and the holding of the exhibition will help advanced products and international technologies land. He welcomed more Chinese and global brands to enter Thailand and ASEAN through the WOF platform to create a new pattern of mutual benefit and win-win results.
Wu Jianmin, President of the Zhejiang Optical Industry Association, emphasized that ASEAN has become one of the fastest-growing eyewear consumer markets in the world, and China, as a manufacturing power, is accelerating its integration with the ASEAN market. 2025 coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand and the completion of the negotiations on the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0. WOF | Bangkok will, at this important node, further promote the in-depth docking and resource interconnection of the eyewear industries of China and Thailand, helping to build regional industrial collaboration and integrated development.
Pan Wei, Chairman of Dena Exhibition, reviewed the development history and global layout of the WOF brand since its establishment in 2003 in his speech. He said that the first landing of WOF in Bangkok, Thailand, is not only an important measure to deepen regional cooperation but also hopes to use this international platform to promote more interconnection between Chinese and ASEAN enterprises, accelerate the deep integration of Asian original brands and global resources, and build an efficient exchange platform for the eyewear industry facing the future.

During the press conference, a forum with the theme of "Shaping the Future of the ASEAN Eyewear Industry: Innovation, Integration, and Global Competitiveness" was also held, hosted by Somboon Numtipjuntacharern, General Manager of ISOPTIK. Guests such as Danai Tonkredmongkol, President of the Thai Optometry Association, Vuthipong Puengpipat, Lecturer in the Department of Optometry of Lannakon University, and Laksrin Kanijoun, Professional Development Manager of Johnson & Johnson Group, participated in the discussion, deeply discussed topics such as the development trend of the ASEAN optometric industry, the landing of innovative technologies, and international cooperation paths, and interacted with the on-site guests in a warm atmosphere.

WOF | Bangkok will be grandly held in Bangkok, Thailand from October 9th to 10th. The exhibition is hosted by Dena Exhibition and Boguan International, with international academic support provided by the Asian Optometric Practice Management Association (AOMA), and co-organized by the Singapore Eye Valley, the Korean Optical Industry-Cooperative, and the Thai Optometry Association. It will bring together more than 200 high-quality global exhibitors, covering the entire industrial chain of eyewear manufacturing, lenses, packaging accessories, optometric equipment, etc., and is expected to attract more than 5,000 professional buyers to negotiate on site.
